Built to Serve Those Who Served: Meet GoElite's New Veteran Outreach Team

Written by VeteranDegrees | May 21, 2026 3:10:51 AM

The veterans we work with do not need to be sold on the value of education. They need a guide who has walked the same road — someone who understands the GI Bill, the Tuition Assistance process, and the realities of building a civilian career on the other side of service. That is why we are proud to introduce two new Veteran Outreach Managers joining GoElite: Nicholas Biera and Ruben Trevino. Each comes to GoElite directly from military service. Each brings firsthand experience navigating the same educational benefits we now help others use.

Meet the Team

Nicholas Biera served five years in the United States Marine Corps as an Electrical Optical Ordnance Repairer Technician, stationed at Camp Pendleton with 3D AA Battalion. He brings the discipline of a technical Marine and a deep pride in his service to every conversation with a fellow veteran.

Ruben Trevino served as a Boatswain's Mate aboard the USCGC Hamilton — known to the crew as the "Hambone" — operating across mission areas from Alaska to South America to Hawaii, including operations that resulted in the seizure of roughly two tons of cocaine. Ruben was also the only person in his rate to use Tuition Assistance during his service, which is where his own education benefits journey began — and where his passion for helping other veterans use theirs comes from.

What This Means for Our Partner Schools

For our partner institutions, this team is more than a hiring announcement. It is a deliberate investment in one of the most underserved — and most committed — student populations in the country.

Veterans bring focus, life experience, and a clear sense of purpose to graduate and professional programs. But they need outreach from people who speak their language and have lived their transition. With Nicholas, Jadiel, and Ruben on the team, GoElite is now positioned to do exactly that — at scale, and with credibility no marketing campaign can manufacture.
