Supporting veterans, transitioning service members, and military families at the annual South Gate Auditorium event focused on education benefits.
South Gate Auditorium
At the Veterans Stand Together Annual Career & Resource Fair held at South Gate Auditorium, attendees find a wide range of organizations offering practical support. Tents and tables are staffed by groups ready to provide information on employment, benefits, and educational opportunities.
VeteranDegrees participated as an exhibitor at this event.
Our booth, displaying our black banner, offered printed resources and guidance to help visitors understand how their VA education benefits may apply. Our team members engaged attendees in conversations to share information and answer questions, focusing on education as a tool to support successful transition from military service.
In-person outreach events like this provide an opportunity for veterans and their families to ask direct questions and receive straightforward answers. These settings help bridge the gap between complex benefit programs and the individual’s unique circumstances, often before formal applications or admissions processes begin.
For educational institutions, such engagement builds trust and clarifies pathways to degree and skill-building programs.
VeteranDegrees approaches veteran education with the understanding that each learner's path is distinct. While some pursue degrees, others may focus on acquiring new skills or exploring different careers.
Partner schools and organizations benefit from recognizing that veteran learners encounter unfamiliar systems and terminology during transition periods. Providing clear, compassionate information through events that gather many resources in one place can make these transitions more manageable.
We thank Veterans Stand Together for organizing this important community event. We continue to support veterans across Southern California and beyond, and we anticipate sharing further updates soon.
We encourage our partners to explore the positive impact such community-focused outreach can have on their programs.
We welcome collaboration with universities, VSOs, employers, and community partners who share our mission of empowering veterans through education.
