Students utilizing Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits, such as Vocational Readiness and Employment (Chapter 31), Post-9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33), and/or Yellow Ribbon Program, are responsible for providing specific documentation to Goldey-Beacom College to ensure timely enrollment and access to educational benefits. This documentation is essential to verify eligibility and initiate the certification process with the VA.

Eligibility Documents for Using VA Benefits

  • R&E Chapter 31 VA Form 28-1905 or PO Authorizations (Authorization and Certification of Entrance or Reentrance into Rehabilitation and Certification of Status)
    OR
  • Post 9/11 GI Bill® Chapter 33 and Chapter 35 Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or Education Enrollment Status form (printed via va.gov )

The VA requires the review of all prior credit, including official JST Transcripts:

  • Official Transcripts: Other Institutions Transcripts (previously attended)

Credits Transfer

Students may be able to transfer Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) training or other coursework from any of the following institutions: JST Joint Service Transcript Community College of the Air Force. In addition, transfer credits are granted for courses taken at other regionally accredited institutions that meet certain criteria, in accordance with the College’s Transfer of Credits policy.
