VeteranDegrees Expands Community Outreach and Education Support in SoCal

Over the past month, our team has continued expanding VeteranDegrees' community presence across Southern California through networking events, partnerships, and outreach initiatives focused on supporting veterans.

World Cup Watch Party and Veteran Networking

June 20 | Pasadena, CA

To celebrate the World Cup and promote community connection, VeteranDegrees hosted a networking watch party in Pasadena for recently transitioned veterans, military-affiliated professionals, and community partners.

Following the networking session, our education consultants provided one-on-one guidance to attendees covering:

• How VA education benefits and GI Bill® eligibility apply to their individual circumstances
• Selecting appropriate academic pathways aligned with career goals
• Career-focused degree options from partner institutions
• Considerations for transitioning from military service to higher education

Combining community engagement with personalized education consultation helps veterans make informed decisions about their next steps.

Honoring Service at the Los Angeles Dodgers

On Independence Day, VeteranDegrees' Veteran Community Outreach Manager, Charles, represented our organization during the pregame American flag ceremony at Dodger Stadium.

This event recognized the service and sacrifices of military members and brought together veterans from the Los Angeles area.

Charles engaged with fellow veterans, strengthened relationships with community organizations, and continued to expand VeteranDegrees' outreach efforts in Southern California.

Participating in community events like these demonstrates our commitment to supporting veterans beyond educational settings and meeting them where they gather.
